Plein Air Paintings with Sue Abel

Sue Abel lives in Wolsingham and when she is not teaching hooky & proggy matting or other textile sessions, can often be found sketching and painting outdoors in the landscape surrounding her village and across Weardale.

As part of the textile development for her map panel, she recently did some ‘plein air’ landscape paintings, capturing the bold forms of the hills, wildlife and valley shapes in beautiful textures and colours.
